personal vfx training
Some artists want the personal mentoring touch for training. Maybe you can’t wait until the next class starts or you don’t like learning from books or on-line tutorials. Maybe you just want to fill in one or two specific blanks in your knowledge and don’t want to spend the time or money to take a whole big training program or workshop. Maybe you are a student or working artist and need some help with a shot. Or perhaps you just want a living breathing human being that you can ask questions and get direct answers. These are all situations where personal one-on-one training makes sense.
Steve’s personal training rates are $75 per hour with a minimum of four hours. And not to worry, you don’t have to do all four hours in one session. Payment is quick and easy with PayPal. If you are local in the Los Angeles area you might want to come to Steve’s office for training, but if you are in distant lands you can still get personal training over the internet using desktop sharing.

Steve offers professional industrial strength personal training for Nuke, NukeX, Ocula, Mocha, and Shake. These are all programs that Steve has not only used for visual effects shots but also has a great deal of experience at teaching so he is keenly aware of the trouble spots that trip up the new learner. The key point here is that you can get training on exactly the topic you want. Maybe it's bluescreen compositing with Shake or 3D compositing with Nuke. The time and topics are tailored to your exact needs for the quickest possible learning.

One of the most difficult things for a newcomer to the world of VFX is to build a demo reel that will help you land a real production job. Our location-based classes range anywhere between one to five days in length and are scheduled periodically to fill the demand. Classes are held in various locations and can be application based such as training for Nuke or Mocha software or they can be technique based training events such as learning green/bluescreen keying, or how to do camera tracking in Nuke. Location based classes are announced in our newsletter and on the calendar section of this website.
