An 8 week "Introduction to Shake 4.1" visual effects compositing workshop presented by Steve and sponsored by CGSociety Workshops. The format is a closed forum to 35 students. Each week students download 45 to 70 minutes of tutorial movies with project media. After viewing the training videos each week, they then complete an assignment that uses the project media and the techniques just learned. Each assignment is then uploaded to the CGSociety website so Steve can offer comments and tips to each student individually. |

This workshop offers the same content as the “Intro to Shake Compositing” workshop presented on CGSociety above. The two key differences are that this workshop is completely self-paced and your assignment reviews are done over the internet using Skype. Being self-paced allows you to start any time, and if suddenly get busy at work you can slow down or pause this workshop then resume when time permits. The Skype reviews allow you to ask questions and get immediate feedback. |

For facilities training, the staff collects in the training room at the appointed hour to participate in a web-based seminar. A closed webcast goes to a single machine in the training room which is connected to a digital projector. The presentation is viewed by the entire class and participants can ask questions of the instructor like a personal appearance.
